Kitchen

                            Day one

All modern appliances will be removed

Charlie working to get all the years of paint off the old growth timber used to build this mantel

Now just checking to be sure Santa can make it down. Note beehive oven on right.

First Sunday morning breakfast

                   Beehive oven

This was once the only oven. They cooked over open fire and baked in here. They would put in hot coals from the fire, let the bricks get hot, remove the coals then add the food to be baked  - Long before pizza!

This is where we started. Going forward all modern items will be removed bringing it back to 1815. No cabinets, no wet sink and no stove top just a long rectangular worktable found in basement. We believe this may have been used originally in the Kitchen.
