Shutters

Shutters do a lot for a window, more than just making it beautiful. If built functional they can be closed to protect the window glass in storms as well as insulating the window opening helping to keep mother nature out. The old shutters were built functional however they were way past their prime. The old shutters were removed and new were designed, built and installed - fully functional.

Confirming the fit!

  After removing the old shutters there was still much work to be done to the window casings and the opening. Using a heat gun we removed all the many layers of old paint, re-glazed the panes, new paint as well as removing the old mortar, sealing casings and adding new mortar.
